    Grants for Parapalegics?
I was told that a parapalegic could obtain a grant to get a house built for them. I want to know how to go about getting information on this, where to look, who to talk to...

My best friend is paralyzed from the waist down from a car accident six years ago. I really want to get together as much info as I can, and give it to her. She is dealing with a break-up, and I think this would cheer her up, and well change her life.

Any and all information and links you can provide I would be eternally grateful for!

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

My local chapter has. My in-laws are on the board of the chapter in our county. There is an application process one must go through, and it can take up to 18+ months from the time of application until the move in date. But we have put several handicapped people in homes.

If they are able to make the monthly payment (in my area it's about $250 a month), it doesn't matter if they are able bodied or not.

Also some cities and local governments have had programs. Don't know their income level, if they have a state case worker asking them would be first good start.

This is a place that helps parapalegics with many things.
    Joni and Friends

She helps with wheelchairs and many other things.

More than than decades ago, 1967, a diving accident left Joni Eareckson Tada a quadriplegic.
