Does anyone know the difference from a bruised rib versus a separated or cracked one? I've been trying to find it on the internet. I have trouble sleeping and pain when sneezing or laughing. Its been over two weeks...

Hi, don't know if this will help, but you will have pain if its bruised, but if its crack or broke the pain is very bad and you will feel like you will pass out if you breathe. Also any kind of movement will hurt like something awful. Not much you can do about ribs, but if you feel like its bad and something is wrong I would see a doctor.

I thought ribs which are injured were taped to help them heal, keep them in place? I'm not aware of the "not much you can do" part of this.
