Getting off your lease when roommate kicked you out and refuses to sign you off
Ok so I moved in with my boyfriend last year. We had only been together for about a yr. 3 weeks after moving in I find out he cheated on me. Since I have tried kicking him out - he refuses to leave. So finally I decided I would leave next time we had a big fight. He verbally kicked me out. I found an apt. This has been discussed over the last 4 or 5 days. I was supposed to move some stuff today. And now he realizes that I was serious and refuses to sign me off the lease. What now? Please help!

If you signed a lease with a landlord, you will need to talk to the landlord, only he can release you from your legal commitment, As long as the boyfirend pays the rent, there is no problem, but you can be held legally liable for the rent if he does not pay.

Talk to your landlord, and leave the b/f in his misery. See what the landlord says first. They are under no obligation to release you from liability.
