    NH Custody Law regarding Moving?
I have Full physical custody of my daughter. I also have 50% legal custody. What are the steps for moving out of state for someone in my position. We live in NH and have a great opportunity in Virginia. My daughter's mother, who has 50% legal custody would be staying here in New Hampshire.

    Divorce, child custody
First why not merely call the divorce attorney that did your divorce and child cusotdy and let him tell you what your divorce allows.

Most of the time requrements about moving or not moving are written into the child cusotdy agreements, what does it say.

At worst you will have to petition the court that did the child custody for permission to move.

There was no divorce attorney as my daughters mother and I were never married. The custody agreament has nothing about moving included in it and the attorney that did that agreament is no longer practicing. So how should I proceed.

I think you can move. She lives with you, and only you (you have 100% physical custody).

Try talking with the mother? But if the mother objects, she might hire a lawyer and take you to court. Then you would have to get a lawyer.
