    Fur re-growth
    [F]
    Hello
I was curious... I have a himalayan cat. It seems as though in the winter he gets mats or knots more frequently in his fur. He hates to be brushed (I assume it isn't very comforting for him), but I have been able to brush some out - will his fur grow back?

The fur should grow back, but really it depends on what the problems really are. If you cannot get him brushed, the matting of his fur could eventually get very bad and cause other problems, so you should look into taking him to a professional groomer.

Yea it should grow back, unless he's unhealthy or something.
    Is he an outdoors cat?
Maybe try bathing him with special shampoo or something to get the matts out.
This is going to sound dumb but my one friends mom actually has to shave her cats they get so matted. They look ridiculus 'cause you can't really shave their tails, but it all grows back after a bit. I think the cats may actually be happy to be free of twigs and what not for a while too.

Yeah if it gets bugs in its fur or the matting has gunk in it from stuff the cat gets into it can cause irritation and infection, so definitely either get that hair groomed or find some way to keep it from getting matted.
