Is a misdemeanor considered a crime in CA
I am currently applying for a job and there's a question that asks: Have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic offense? Now I do have a misdemeanor on my record that happen almost 10 yrs ago for theft. Should I disclose it in this question? Or is that just another way of asking if you have any misdemeanors or felonies?

Since a theft conviction is not a minor traffic offense, I would say they want to know about it. If you ommit it and they do a back ground check and find it, they will assume you are being dishonest.

It would appear you have been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic offense and, therefore, you must say yes. And, yes, it's another way of asking if you have any misdemeanors or felonies - or convictions of crimes other than minor traffic offenses.

Yes, and it also wants serious traffic offenses in additon perhaps like
    DUI, and others.

If you fail to disclose this misdemeanor conviction and the employer finds out about it later you may be instantly terminated.
