    Eligibility for Standard Deduction
    I landed in USA on 19AUG2007 on a L1 visa and my spouse & child on L2 visa. For filling the Tax for 2007 in USA, are we eligible for the Standard Deduction. I am choosing the option of "Married Filling Jointly".

    Yes, you ARE eligible for the joint standard deduction of $10,700.
