Ok me and my boyfriend have been together for a while, and we live together and everything. Well about two months ago my boyfriend proposed and I said yes. His parents are happy for us and can't wait but I have not told mine yet and I don't know how. I am the only girl and a daddys girl I don't know how to tell my dad that his little girl is getting married. He likes my fiancé, they drink together and work on cars and everything its just I don't want my dad to think differently of me or that we are rushing it or something.

If your father allows you to live with your boyfriend, I wouldn't think he would object to marriage. Daddy's Little Girl has already cut the cord. And if the two of them hang out together with beer and cars, I can't imagine Daddy would have a problem. He's gaining a son, not losing a daughter.

When in doubt, talk the truth.

Give your parents more credit than you are... even if they think you are rushing it, its only out of love... and honestly, as a man who married a woman whose father wasn't necessarily overjoyed at our engagement... he didn't dislike me, but he wasn't thrilled beyond belief, time and actions wash away all noise.

Treat your parents respectfully and be willing to listen to their concerns. Talk to them sooner than later. The more time that passes, the harder this will get.
