I can't find my start menu se I can add/remove programs

What windows version are you running and what style of Start Menu is it (Classic vs the one for your OS).

Try pressing Ctrl+Esc or the Windows key on your keyboard.

Yep. Windows Key. Sounds like you hid it. Once you find it, left click and hold on the screen edge where it is located and drag it back out onto the screen and release it.
