    Air blockage on kitchen faucet.
We moved into an older house (1962) about 5 months ago. We are experiencing problems with the kitchen faucet only.

If we turn the water on quickly the faucet will start running water and then quickly stop. You can turn the faucet off and then slowly turn it back on and it might or might not start running again.

The only sure-fire way to fix it is to run the water out of the hand-held sprayer and then try turning the faucet on/off. Swapping back and forth will finally get the faucet back running again.

Is this some type of air-lock situation that is blocking the faucet but letting the sprayer continue to run? How do I fix this?

I have been unable to find a brandname. It is a single handle faucet.

This sounds like either a Dornbracht or a Miko faucet where the diverter is located in the spout itself instead of in the valve body.

Could you upload a photo of the faucet?
