    Moen Single Handle Sprayer
I have a moen removeable single handle sprayer and suddenly the sprayer stopped working. The faucet works fine otherwise except when you press the button to spray it won't spray. I removed the rubber piece for the button sprayer and nothing seems to be broken or missing. Does anyone have any experience with this or information on how to fix? Thank you!

It could simply be a clogged sprayer, but that would generally not happen suddenly. The other theory is the "diverter valve" that redirects the water from the spout through the sprayer when you press the button. If this is defective, then the sprayer won't work. The valve is usually in the vertical round part at the base of the spout. Remove the spout, and you should be able to spot it easily. Generally, it is a round item about the size of a dime in diameter.

    Best of luck,

Un screw the entire sprayer head from the hose and direct the hose into your drain, turn on the water. If you got a strong steam of water your diverter is fine but there is a clog inside ths prayer head. Come back and tell us what happened when you turn the water on.
