    Theft Under $5000
I am 17 years old living in Ottawa, ON, and have been informed by my previous employer that they are taking their case to the cops regarding stolen electronics totaling over $5000. They said I am the prime suspect, but only have evidence regarding two of the products. I didn't take everything they are accusing me of. I am waiting at my doorstep for these people, what should I do? Admit guilt when I have a story to fight it? How long should I expect to be waiting? With a max jail time of 2 years, what is the max fine if I only get convicted on the $600 I took? I'm terrified. I have been accepted to university and I have a huge life ahead of me, what do I do about this? Thanks so much.

1 don't say a word without an attorney.

    2. tell your attorney the exact truth so he knows what he has to deal with and listen to him.

3/ If after your attorney looks at the evidence and feels there is no way to win, you have him work out a plea agreement

Most likely you will have to pay them back, plus pay them a fee for this, pay a fine and be on probation.
