I have a civic that I have replaced the igniter an was running good.then car wouldnot cruise
At any speed .it is a 5 speed man. It would get to speed then as you level off the accerator it would hesitate.so I tracked it down to the vtec oil switch connt on engine an unpluged it then it would run fine,now sometimes the car will run excellent an as your driving it will just start sputterin an lose power.havein to down shift just to get any speed,then it will run fine again. Ideas?

Go over the complete electrical system. Ensure you applied heat transfer silicone grease to the back of the ignitor. Test/replace the coil--AutoZone will do for free. Personally, I would replace it, because of the age of your Civic. Examine/replace the rotor, distributor cap, spark plugs, and spark plug wires. I would also replace the main relay.
