Month to Month after a year, no notice written in
We finished our 1 year lease in October and have since been going month to month. However there is nothing written in the lease where it says how many days notice we have to give. How many days notice do we have to give legally in VA?

    Thanks,
    Ed

Check this: "Give proper notice before moving You have to give your landlord a written notice in advance of the time you move out. Your lease should
state how much time is enough notice. Usually you must give the landlord written notice that you plan to move at least 30 days before the rent is due. If you have a week-to-week lease then you must give a 7-day notice." See: Renter's Rights and Responsibilities: The Basics

Generally, you have to give one full rental period.
