    Hi ol smoke!

    1. Have you already tried more than one date to restore to? It's not uncommon for some of them to just not work. Be sure to try 2-3 of them.

    2. Inspect your Windows disk: Is it clean and without scratches or dents?

    3. Have you run Virus and Spyware scan recently?

If yes to 1,2,3 - what Windows version are you using?

OK a couple of points here.
1/ The use of correct english will enable us to resolve your question properly
2/ what are you attempting to do, as you have mentioned both system restore and format, two completely different systems.
One returns your system to a different date and the other completely wipes your hard drive.

Thank you for your time with regards this issue.
