    Getting rid of a cohabitant
I live in the state of Ohio and own my home. I have a verbally abusive alcoholic boyfriend who I want to leave. If he will not willingly leave how do I go about removing him from my house? Nothing is in his name. I am the sole home owner.

    Thank you.

Then he is a guest, if you have told him verbally you want him out he is now tresspassing, call the police and they will physically remove him.

Wish it was that easy normally, normally the police will tell you it is a civil issue. Or that if hey get mail there, they are considered a resident ( read about 100 of the posts on this and you will see that is what has happened time and time again.

Give them official notice to leave, have them served for eviction by the housing court.

Document you have asked him to leave, and in 31 days call the cops. The next time he gets drunk, call the cops.
