How long is the stauate of limitations on theft by an individual against a business in Fort Myers Florida? I had an employee that had stolen from me and I have just been procided with the proof.

How much was taken money wise? This would determine the statutes as felonies and misdemeanors have different statutes of limitations.

Over a thousand dollars. It was equipment that is used in the glass business that was taken to a pawn shop and registered in the employee's name. We have just found a witness that says he will testify that he was with him when he pawned the property.
