I have heat strips and just had new air handler with a/c installed in August. This morning the furnace was running and I heard a noise (like a pop) and then the fan stopped blowing. I tried to turn it on again and nothing happens. It seems like it smells like something is burning, but I don't know if that's just me now. I checked the breaker and all breakers were fine. There is no breaker just for the furnace, but I did flip the breaker for the air handler off then on.

If the unit is that new call the contractor that sold and installed it for you.

There should be a warranty.
