    Give up rights
I am wanting to give up my rights to a child that I have never seen and can not see
Because of the child's mother and family. She is 6 years old and the mother and her family did not want anything to do with me.

You can't give up your rights to your child. Are you paying support? Is there a Court Order? Are you sure you're the father?

    Need more info -

    Hello diz:

Nothing?? They don't want child support? I think they do, or you wouldn't be here.

What would you say to me, if I asked you how I could give up my rights to go to Alabama? You'd probably look at me funny and say, well Dude, just don't go to Alabama. You'd be right.

Rights are something you use. I have a right to go to Alabama. I have no intention of going to Alabama, so why do I need to go to court to give up my right to go? I don't, of course.

Your rights are the same. You're not using them now, so why do you need to go to court to get rid of rights that you're not using?? You don't, of course.

Nope. I know what you REALLY want to do. I just wish you'd be more honest with us. You just don't want to pay anymore, do you? Too bad. Your kids need to eat.

You can read the tons of threads on this subject...

But you can't just give up you parental rights. If the mother is wishing to have the child adopted by her husband, THEN you can reliquish your rights to allow for the adoption.
