    Blocked Kitchen Drain
It seems I have a blocked or VERY VERY slow moving drain in my kitchen. I have everything from using a plunger, to the heavy duty Drano Max, to a 15 foot snake, but nothing seems to work.

The Drano Max combined with some aggressive plunging definitely loosened up some old crud from inside my pipes, which I keep draining out through the bottom trap, but other than that, nothing is moving. The snake reached in the full 15 feet and I twisted and pulled and pushed and said a few explitives along the way, but nothing.

My next option is a plumber unless someone here can save me at least $100+ with a solution. Might it be a blocked vent pipe? Although none of the other drains in the two bathrooms nearby have any problems.

I assume this is a single bowl sink... unless you covered drain of other sink when plunging sink. If plunging did little then that suggests that problem is below the tee fitting that connects the drain and vent.

Is this on first floor? Can you see the drain pipe in basement? Any cleanouts downstairs?

I don't know... but 50% of the time you think you are snaking the drain... especially when drain clogged strongly... YOU ARE ACTUALLY SNAKING THE VENT... so I say.. try to snake again... a few times... start at trap.. feed out... repeat... each time starting at the trap.

Otherwise, answer the questions and we will see what else to do... lots of circumstances lead to lots of solutions!! Get back to us. If this helps, please RATE THE ANSWER by clicking on button below. Thank you.
