My wife has placed a plant on our kitchen counter top, which is made of a dark grey colored cultured granite. The plant apparently remained in the same position for nearly a year. Today when it was removed there remains a white discoloration, almost a bleached out stain the exact size of the plants base. Is there anyway to remove this stain, or return the counter top to its original color? Thanks

If cultured granite is made the same way as cultured marble, the surface is cross linked polyester, not granite. It is possible the lighter color is due to retained moisture. On the other hand, moisture may have leached out part of the finish. Perhaps try a wax unless somebody posts a more credible sounding answer.

I have the same question. We have dark gray (almost black) granite kitchen table. DD5 spilled water on it and it went unnoticed for a day. Needless to say, I too have a ugly light gray stain.

Just curious if the OP found a solution.
