Pawn shops will only loan you money on the watch and generally won't buy it outright. If you do take out a loan on the watch and then don't return within a certain amount of time to claim it, the pawn shop can then sell it. You may want to get an appraisal and try to sell it through a newspaper ad if it appraises out for a lot (keep the appraisal also). You could probably ask 1/2 or 1/3 of the appraised amount.

Even if a pawn shop did buy the watch, you won't receive a fair price. I buy and sell watches on eBay, you may want to try to sell it there. The key to doing that is taking many pictures, I think up tp 12 ae permitted. And take good quality pictures.. There it's a auction setting so you have a better chance to receive a maximum amount. I have bought Breitling watches on eBay, prices are fair for both, seller and buyer.
