What's the difference between a rotation and a revolution?

I think Rotation is a circular motion, and revolution is how many times it rotates.
360 degrees of circular motion equals 1 revolution?

When you rotate, you stand in one place and turn around and around in a tight circle. The earth rotates (spins around) on its axis.

When you revolve, you go around something, like your house or a car. The earth revolves around the sun.
