All right, I live in a mobile home, and my water valves for th ewasher machine are leaking. I bought a new setup up valves that are brass. But I got to look and I have that poly something lines that the water run through. My question is can I use compression fittings to hook the poly lines to the brass fittings.

Another question, every once in a while when the washer is draining, it will get backed up in the pipe, and it will also come out in the sinks. How can I fix this. And also there is a god awful smell coming from the pipes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

In a mobile home sometimes the drainage lines are too undersized to handle the volume thatb a washers pump will produce, especially if a lot of suds are involved. If it begins to back up constantly the snake out the washer drain line from the roof vent.
For those smelly pipes pour bleach down the drain and let it set overnight. Nex morning flush the bleach out with a couple of pans of boiling water. Good luck, Tom

Hey man, I appreciate it, I went to a mobile home supply store today and got those fittings. Now, hopefully I can get it put back together.

I don't know if I have a roof vent for the washer machine, unless it is hooked up to the one in the bathroom. Could that be the case.

All right, well I got the box in and the new spickets, and it works, but the drain is backing up. So, I poured some drain cleaner down the drain, and let it sit, and then poured hot water down it. But it still backs up. What should I do?

Follow my advice and snake the washer drain line. Regards, tom

Well, I went out there this morining and got on the roof, and snaked out the roof vent, got as far down as I could, but the thing is still backing up. Maybe I should try a bigger snake, since I have a small one.

Hi Donald,

From the roof vent you drop youe cable all the way down to the base of the stack. From there you run out about 25' more. That should get you past the branch and out into the main. Good luck, Tom
