Ok I work as a Chef and need some help with inventory sheets, I don't know a lot about excel so ANY ideas would help. What I'm trying to do is update our inventory sheets so that I can enter pricing info on one page and it matches throughout the entire workbook
I.e. a Apple costs this much .29 and I want that to reflect on all pages for each area... same price is copied in each page of inventory for each section (storeroom, desk, Our previous purchasing did everything on paper which is a pain to keep our cost accurate. I am pretty sure this is easy to do but I don't know the correct verbiage to research this.

This is easy to do. Enter the price on the first worksheet (or any desired worksheet). Go to the next worksheet that is to contain the price. Enter an equal sign ("=") in the cell and then click on the first worksheet and then the cell that contains the desired price. The resulting formula will look like:

=Sheet1!B1

In this case, I am referencing the value in cell B1 in Worksheet "Sheet1." This can be manually entered into any cell as well. Substitute "Sheet1" with the desired sheet and "B1" with the desired cell.

That one does work however with 2000+ items not practical, Looking for a way to referance a master price list and have Excel find it and copy it... kinda like a database for names I type Joe and it finds all the joes and gives me a list I select which joe I want... We don't have Access though :(

You can use the vlookup function to make it fill in the prices using a master sheet automatically. Whenever you need to update the price, you just need to do it on the master sheet, once.

It's easiler to do than to explain. Send me your spreadsheet, I will make it work for you. What other analysis do you need to do on that spreadsheet? Let me know all at one time then I can fix it.

You could try using a VLookup to your prices table. But why not use a Database instead. Do you have Access?
