Printer does not print when using USB-Paralel cable
I use a USB to Parallel cable to connect my printer to my computer. But no matter what USB port I pluged in, the test print will not print. And sometime the print is stated as offline. What is wrong with this issue? The reason I use this USB-Paralel because the mother board I use does not have a printer port to connect.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

    Is it a IEEE-1284 (Bi-directional) compliant cable?

What type of mother board are you using, inside of what branded covers. When you purchased the PC did you know that it had no parallel port on the mother board?

The easiest fix would be to get an IEEE 1284 compliant parallel port add board and connect that to the printer.

What type printer are we talking about. All in one ink jet, small home use monochrome laser or a Full sized beast of a printer.

Also, are you using a USB 1 or a USB 2 cable?
