    Strange phenomenon
Can anyone explain how this works?

If you ask a heavy person to sit in a chair and get 4 people to lift him or her (each person clasps their hands and has their thumb and forefinger pointing outwards, then they place their forefingers under the person in the chair's armpits or the back of their knee (1 person at each part)) then ask the 4 people to lift, they will struggle.

But if you then ask the four people to then put their hands over the person in the chair's head ( hands flat with palm facing down and not touching the head or someone else's hands), then try to lift them as before they have no trouble lifting the person up anymore.

Apologies for not explaining this too well. Does anyone know what I'm referring to? And how it works?

Its called levitation. We used to do that when I was in high school. Once we levitated someone in the middle of the school hall way and boy did it freak the teachers out. The person was laying on the ground though and not sitting in a chair. Its something to do with energy.

It's really weird isn't it? I think it has something to do with the placing of hands over the head. Maybe there's an explanation somewhere.

By placing the hands over the persons head the energy from you flows into that person and that is what causes the levitation. That is my thoughts anyway. There are people that use this same placing their hands over areas of the body and use their energy to heal.

    Lifting
    Hi,
Yes, it is weird, and I cannot offer any explanation. As another said, I too, did the same thing in High School. Only there were just 2 of us, lifting one person up off a step, up to about chest high!
    I can't explain it.
    Best wishes.

First of all, I'm not putting my hands under any fat persons armpits. Secondly, it doesn't take much for you to poop your pants now does it. HMMMM... I used to be easly amused myself... WHEN I WAS THREE!!

    Cinnabar
It's the result of diamagnetic levitation. A quick search of that term should give you all the info you'd want to know. :)
