    Alternative for chain swagging
I am putting a ceiling fan in my bedroom. The existing light receptacle is in the corner of the room and I want to put the ceiling fan in the center of the room where there is no light receptacle. I don't want to swag it with chain as I think this so unattractive!! Are there any alternatives to chain swagging? Thank you

Three options come to mind. Wiremold if Concrete ceiling, or no access from above.
If access from above, fish wiring to new location. If concrete, In the past Contractors have cut a channel for emt(metal conduit) then textured over.

You can run the wires within the ceiling if you have attic access or want to go to the trouble of fishing.

An easier option is to use wiremold.
