Built my new computer from scratch, as rock 775 twins motherboard, pentium d 840, 1gb ram, geforce 6600gt, maxtor 160gb, sony dvdrw. However I can't install windows xp pro, I get to "press enter to continue with installation" and I do, and it restarts! I've tried using ide harddrives, sata ones with appropriate drivers and the same thing happens. Does anyone have any ideas? Cheers chris

I don't know if this will help but I had a same problem, all I needed to do was check all the connections again-this time I made sure they were tight... Then the installation continued. (In my case it was the memory which was not installed all the way)
