I kind of had a crush on this guy But he told me my lip rings scared him.Period.

(theres no way in Heck I'm going to change them.Or myself at the matter for a boy.. )
But I was woundering shouldn't he like me for who I am not what I look like?

Ya he should like you for who you are, but mebe piercings arnt something he is attracted to and it isn't his fault he has that opinion. Its like saying if I wasn't attracted to a smoker... I mean shouldn't I like them for them?

My opinion superficial stuff like that doesn't matter. You are who you are regardless of how you look.

The lip rings give you a certain appearance and will not be attractive to some but will to others.
First impressions count for a lot. I personally don't have a problem with them but I know others who do.

What's hot for someone its Ugly for someone else

I'm a guy that loves looks I wouldn't go for your typ. But then you probable wouldn't go for mine.

Having said that. Its all down to how you feel
And a confidant attiude is a real turn on :)

I find most of these people that have the black stuff on and the metal in there head. Are just hiding from something

So at the end of the day its really down to how you want the rest of the world to see you.

And if you don't want to change that's cool

I hate piercings, just not my cup of tea.

I'm not a big fan of lip rings or anything, but I've dated girls with lip, eyebrow, nose, and tongue piercings. But I definitely don't base those on a relationship either.

You're also assuming that he's telling the truth. If I didn't want to date you because you weren't my type, I might just say it's your lip rings just to spare your feelings. Has that occurred to you?

Of he is not attracted to lip rings, that is his prerogative. I would not look twice at someone with them. It does not mean I'm downing or judging them, I just don't find that kind of thing attractive.

The thing is I've known him for 8 years of My life. He had to move and was gone for 3 years People change and we have Been getting to know each other again
And.. I don't dress all in black,I don't consiter my look is Clownish I'm not Hiding From anything In my current Life I'm Very Happy and Outgoing Im Into Sports and meeting New People :) I'm not quick to judge People Its rude and he may not Find my Percings attractive

Lol. Well said popcorn. Ya if someone said to me that something about me wasn't attractive or 'scared' them id be kind of offended. And I agree shouldn't judge a book by the cover. But hey, some people don't find piercings attractive. Can't be helped. Just be confident in who you are, and obviously you guys seem to be friends so he isn't just going to STOP talking to you. Maybe he will get a chance to see some of what's in your book and the cover won't scare him as much you know?

I have lots of different Types of friends Heck one of my best friends Dresses Normal has long blonde hair and lip rings she looks like anyone else you see on the streets XD

Depends on the face (sometimes they just don't look good with certain faces you know?) otherwise I think they are pretty cool. Its eyebrows or tongues I'm not a fan of, but then they don't bother my much either lol.

I once had a guy tell me he never thought he would like a girl who smoked or had tattoos (me) I was offended but I was more offended that he decided to like me I couldn't stand him

Wow, you sure seem to have a good head on your shoulders. I would personally never get a body piercing anywhere other than my ears, but I do believe everyone has the right to make their own decisions on how they want to look. I don't think your lip rings have anything to do with how he feels, you said you've been friends for 8 years, maybe he's afraid of dating you because if things don't work out he'll not only loose a girlfriend but a friend. I applaud you for not being willing to change yourself for anyone, and for being happy with who you are, you go girl.
