    Dead Animal Smell
I have noticed a "dead animal smell" in the front of my house from time to time, mostly around my driveway. I do not smell anything in my house at all and I do not see any dead animals outside my house. What could this be and what should I do about it? It's a faint odor, not too strong, but it's been there for a couple of months.

Is there a low area where water sometimes stands? They often produce foul odors.

    Dead Animal Smell
Water sometimes gathers in my driveway when it rains, but I can smell the odor even when it's not raining. I've lived in this house for 32 years and I don't remember this smell before.

Did you check the bushed and underbrush around your house for something not nice. Try to figure out which way the wind is coming from at least you have an idea where it is coming from. It may not be you it might be the folks next door.

    Re: dead animal smell
Depending upon where you live, (rural, or semi-rural possibly?) dead animal smells can come from quite a distance away, depending on weather conditions.
