Making a pup not depend on you
Hey my name is tico and I'm having a problem with my puppy.
He is 6 months old and he is a jack russel terrior. We get along wonderfully but he is too dependent on me. He is in the house during the day, morning and at night he goes into the garage to sleep. When I go to put him in his crate at night he barks and whines. I go out to try and comfort him because I feel as if I'm doing something wrong, and he stops. But as soon as I leave again he starts up again.

    Suggestions?

As long as you keep going back it is not helping him to get use to it.
He could just not be use to being alone right now but if you don't get him use to it he
Is going to have separation anxiety and it will get worse, so get him used to it while he is still little.

Maybe he is cold. Poor thing why can't you bring him inside at night?
