Hello,

I'm very new at this and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I'm 3 days late and although this is nothing new to me, there are a couple of things that stroke me as odd. I usually have pms symptoms like cramping and brest tenderness a few days before my period is due. However, this time I haven't felt anything at all. I bought a first response pregnancy test today and it came out negative. I'm feeling a bit bloated and have been going to the ladies more often. I also have a very annoying pain/burn sensation when I have to pass urine. Not sure if it's a bladder infection or something completely different Nothing else apart from that. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

I've had the bloated feeling when I've been late. It's not unusual for someone to be a few days late; it could be stress, a change in your schedule, etc.

As far as the burning/pain when you urinate, that might be something to go to the doctor for. Are you drinking enough water? Sometimes you can feel a little bit of burning when you pee if you are dehydrated. However, if it's an actual pain, that makes me think it could be a bladder infection. It's hard to say really, there could be many causes. I would have a doctor check you out if it doesn't go away soon.

As far as being pregnant, do you want to be pregnant? If you don't then ask the doctor about birth control and all too. I wasn't sure if you meant that you wanted to be or not.

If you don't get your period in another week or so, take another pregnancy test. Or go to the doctor and get a pregnancy test done there.

I should have mentioned it before, my boyfriend and I were not trying for a baby and we do use contraception, but I just feel different. Thanks for the reply! I'll book an appointment to see my doctor tomorrow morning to try and find out what this pain might be.

I'm sure you'll be fine, hon. It's good you are going in. If you're using contraception and you're only a few days late, I wouldn't start worrying yet. I've had bladder infections before; I had the pain and burning with them. I just had to take an antibiotic and it went away. I hope everything is OK!

You could be late because you're stressed out you could possibly have a UTI if yoy have a burning sensation when urinating also followed by bloatedness be sure to talk to your doctor and have a blood test to see if your pregnant
