MacP&L is outdated, can't figure out this Quickbooks accounting so am trying to do a spreadsheet for husbands business.

We have some extra money is a money market savings at the bank, it gets dividends. Occasionally we also have to transfer money back and forth from Savings Cash to Cash or Cash to Savings Cash.

I'm working a spread sheet and I have Debit Cash, Credit Cash, Interest Income. Am I doing this correctly. My Interest income and Cash Credits equal my cash debit in the savings account.
    Example:
Cash Savings Interest - Debit Cash Savings .15
Cash Savings Interest - Credit Interest Income .15
    then on transfers I have:
Withdrawl from Checking or Cash = Credit Cash $100
Deposit to savings = Deb Cash $100

    $4,555.22 $1,000.00 $1.63

    Statement Bal $3,553.59 OK $1.63

    $1,001.63

Am I doing this right, I went to school in 1991 and my books don't show this type of income and my old accounting is in a Mac OS 9 and I don't have a computer than can access it to see how it processed it and the printout of everything is stored in my garage attack and I'm in a wheelchair and can't get up there and hubby can't either.
I might forget to come back here, have chemo brain, can someone email me at noknots1 @ verizon .net leave out spaces
