    Black to Bright Red!
    Hi every1!

I want to dye my hair a Bright Red/Dark pink color. I have really thick curly hair that Ive been dying for Years! Its a very dark color, naturally dark brown but dyed black. I also have a natural grey streak on top (hense the hair dying with years  !)

I have been aroung to the top hairdresser's in my area and they all refuse to do it for me as it will damage my hair too much and will take way too much time... Im not bothered if it gets damaged, I just want it bright red!!!

Any tips on how to do this myself??

    Thanks! ;)

You'll probably have to strip out any current dye and then even bleach your hair. This is probably why no one will do it for you. You should try asking if they will strip you hair, then give it a couple of intensive conditioning treatments, then bleach it...

I don't think you'll get it bright red without bleaching it first a bit I tried to do it wihtout bleaching and I got a very nice colour it just wasn't very bright. I didn't bleach it in the end because I didn't want to ruin my hair. Frizzy bedragled hair is never attractive no matter what the colour is.

You could grow out your current colour then see if the hairdressers will do it?

I hope you get a solution, good luck :)

Haha I did this 2 my friends hair about a week ago... she had dyed blck hair so what we did was I bought a dye remover "color opps" and removed the blck dye from her hair and waited a day then the next day we bleached it 2 pale yellow from a red/brown with 40 volume bleach and dyed it red and that colour was so intense it was insane!! We used manic panic and that stuff works HxC!

    Good luck!
