    Smelly kitchen sink
I have a problem with a rotten egg type smell which comes from the kitchen sink. This is an intermittent problem.

Plumbers have checked the drains which are never blocked.

The u bend has been checked and is clean.

The sink is cleaned regularly and plenty of water goes down the plug hole, which often makes a gurgling and sucking sound. This sound can also be heard when the washing machine is in use.

    The property is a bungallow.

Does anyone have a cure to this smell?

    Thanks,

This tells me the kitchen,( and perhaps the washer roof vent as well) is blocked and should be snaked. Put out enough cable to reach the base and 15 feet more. For the smell pour bleach down each drain and let it set5 over night. Next morning flush the mess away with a few pans of boiling water. Smell better now? Regards, Tom
