Is this normal or should I be concerned?
I watch this 5 year old boy in the mornings before school. A few months back he told my 3 year old girl to take off her pants and they were going to play doctor. She came in a told me that he had touched her down there. I was very concerned and informed his father and since then he had been talked to by his father and I have kept a close watch on him. Recently I walked into the room and found him with his pants down playing with himself. When I asked him what he was doing he was startled and acted as if he was doing something he should not be doing. I am very concerned if this is normal behavior?

If I were in your shoes, I would keep my daughter far far far away from this boy. It just sounds like massive trouble that I wouldn't want to deal with.

As for the boy, it sounds like he is either being abused at home or seeing this sort of thing somewhere, perhaps at home. That's my opinion on his actions.

I agree with CaptainForest... this is something the boy learned at home and if this girl has any memories of this when she is older... she may feel ashamed. Hopefully she won't remember. The boy doesn't know he's doing anything wrong, just imitating what he sees as normal behavior, curious as to why someone else might do it. Influence on young kids is everything
