    Hi!
    I'm a H2B worker and I'm in the country for 9 months now.I like to know if I can get back my federal and state taxes 100%.

    No, you cannot.

    The "H" series visa is a WORK visa. You will owe taxes just like any other U.S. citizen.

    Further, do not even think about deducting your daily living expenses on your tax return. It is illegal for you to make such a claim, and the IRS is wise to this tactic and will be looking for it.

    Your income is subject to FICA taxes, federal income tax and state taxes. For 2007 you must file your tax return form 1040EZ or 1040. The due date is April 15, 2008.
    Only when you complete your tax return, you will know if you will get a refund or you owe more taxes.

    If you entered the U.S. only in 2007 and are not married, then you will file as Dual Status resident. On your 1040EZ or 1040, you will write "DUAL STATUS."
