Baby gets a rash and boils
My 2 year old girl gets frequent patchy, rough, red rashes mostly on her back, sometimes on her tummy. She also gets boils in her diaper area. The boils appear on the buttocks, by the tailbone and the upper thigh, so not really in any creases. I had thought the boils may be caused by wearing a diaper, but she goes without a diaper for most of the day and still gets boils. They are extremely painful for her. They look like a very large pimple and contain a yellowish and bloody goo. It seems that the boils come when the rash comes. What could this be?

I use all mild baby soaps for her baths, and do her laundry with Dreft so I don't think it's due to soaps or detergents. We use baby lotion regularly, and calamine lotion and gold bond when the rash is present, which seems to help mildly. I don't do anything for the boils, except sit her in a hot bath. I don't know what to do other than that and a hot compress... which she won't cooperate with.

Was she taking antibiotics or any medicine?
If so I think probiotics for toddlers might help

My sister use to get boils when she was little. The doctor told my mom to give her vitamin C and they went away.
I am also reading they can be a vitamin a and d deficiency too
You might try A and D diaper rash ointment

Your pediatrician should be able to tell what is best
