Hi,

I am new to this site.
Myself and my husband to be are trying for a baby and still no luck. Have been having unprotected sex since December. I know its only a month yet but I am so worried that I have some unknown problem. So anyone got any advice for me?

Stop worring about getting pregnant and just make love!! I know many people who got pregnant as soon as they stopped "trying"!!

First if you are worried, ( and sorry a few weeks is not time to worry) have each of you get a complete medical check up. Also are you tracking your most fertile times so that sex will be timed for the best chance.

Whle some people get pregnant the first time they have sex, for many couples it is not uncommon to have to try for a year even two years to become pregnant,

It takes on average 6 months- 1 years for most couples to get pregnant, so don't be worried.
I have to suggest reading the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. I have just finished reading it myself and found it very helpful. It will teach you about learning the signs of ovulation so that you will know your most fertile days, so you will know the days you are most likely to get pregnant if you have sex.
This is done by taking your tempature every morning and making a chart out of it, and other helpful body reminders.
Many people I know had a hard time getting pregnant and after reading this book and following it had success in getting pregnant.

I wouldn't panic after just a month. Are you keeping track of your cycles? Do you have a history of irregular and/or missed periods? Some couples have more difficulty conceiving than others. Keep at it. If after 6 months or a year you've still had no success then you may need medical intervention.

Yea I keep track of my periods. Well I was on a contraceptive,called Implanon,It is like a flexible pipe that is injected into your arm. I got that taken out in November 2007. I know its early days yet,I am just a major worrier!! I used to have regular periods before I got the contraceptive,they were not as heavy or regular when I had that in my arm. I have had a period since I got that out. It was almost 10 days overdue this month. So I think my body has to adjust to being without the implanon!!

Getting pregnant seems a whole lot harder when trying to do it planned, I know I was at that point in life also. What did work for me was having sex doing a head stand. Yeah, sounds crazy but it actually worked. I guess it was all in the position. They say that if you can work the sperm up to where it should be, then it will help the sperm locate the egg. Try it, it was weird but fun and it worked..

I am a perfectly healthy average person, it took me 7 months to get pregnant with my son and 10 months to get pregnant with my daughter, after two children my husband and I decided that we didn't want any more children but I didn't want to go back on the pill so we used condoms instead. One passionate night we had unprotected sex and wammo, I was pregnant (unfortunately I miscarried in my 3rd month). Sometimes not trying is the best way. Besides, I would think that waiting until after you get married would be the ideal way to go, just my opinion.
