Is it possible / OK to expand sewer line @ clean-out port?
I am looking to expand my home, basically enclosing the attuc space. I would like to include a bathroom into this plan but am unsure how to get a sewer drain line up to that point. I would like to avoid breaking into my slab if possible to acces the sewer lines. I have 2 clean-out ports on the sides of my home. Is it possible to "T" up from 1 of these ports? House is on a slab, no basement (Georgia soast)... water lines will be no problem, as the expansion will involve movign the HW heater and AC unit among other things...

I frankly don't see why not. In this country we run our drains in side the structure. In places in Europe they run it outside. Their logic, if it freezes we don't have to tear up the walls to thaw it. However this question should be posted on the plumbing site. There are a couple of very knowledgeable plumbers over there.

We are going to move this and don't tie into those outside clean outs just yet. I think Ga adopted the IPC long time ago.
