    Hello Pine:

    If you owe the IRS money, they'll keep it. But, other than that, it's YOUR money.

    As long as no judgments were entered against you prior to the discharge of your bankruptcy, then yes. Unless you owe a debt to the government (such as a government loan) or some other nondischargeable legal judgement such as alimony, child support, back taxes or fines, etc.
