I'm new here and was looking for some answers on these new water saver faucets. We just did a remodel on the kitchen and installed a new faucet... Price Pfister Classic Series #WK1-63 and the water pressure is terrible. I've read where you can take an o-ring out to help water to flow better, but I've had mine apart and haven't been able to find any kind of o-ring that matches what has been described. It has a pretty tall faucet and wondered if that could have anything to do with it. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be keeping the water pressure down?!

I am assuming the water pressure was OK before. Two things come to mind. Is the cold and hot valves open all the way? And have you unscrewed the cap off the spout to look at the screen? You might want to un hook the supply lines and look at the valves to see if there are any mineral deposits. These sometimes break loose when closing and opening the valves.

Yes, the water pressure was fine before I changed out the faucet. I've checked the screen and it's clear and both valves are all the way on. I may check the lines for mineral deposits.

Also, one thing that I forgot to mention, when I first cut the water on at the faucet, it starts strong, but within a couple of seconds, the water pressure gradually decreases. What would cause this to happen?

See if you can find you model. I couldn't. There was however a parts break down for the models shown. Not familer with water saving devices in kitchen faucets.

Does this water line continue to some other place? If so, is that pressure OK? If it does and that pressure is OK,then it has to be with the faucet. If it does not continue I would pull the faucet and look at the valves as you open and close them. Do the valves open when you turn the faucet to the on position and I mean open completely. I have a feeling the handles are not positioned right.

Sammy, how did you think they were going to save water without cutting it back. They have a built in restrictor to SAVE water. You old faucet probably passed 2.5 gallons a minute and this new one allows only 1.5 gallons. If you were to check your water pressure I believe you will find it is the same on every line and faucet in the house, around 40 psi.

These lines only go to the kitchen faucet and nowhere else... water pressure on all other faucets is fine. Only this one has changed since we've installed the new faucet. I've even unhooked the main faucet spout from the base and looked for a water saver and can't find anything. Any ideas on where it might be located on this model... is it in the handle part of the faucet?

The restrictor is the valve itself, it has smaller inlet ports and I do not think you can change anything on it to force it to allow more water out than its design. Call this number and talk to thie rcustomer service rep.1-800-Pfaucet (1-800-732-8238) but get the correct model number before you call. The number you gave us doesn't exist.

I just installed a price pfister wk1-340s and I have the same problem you had. Were you able to solve the low flow problem. I called price pfister and they are sending a new cartridge, which they say will solve the problem, but I have my doubts.
