Looking For Children's Book 'The Fat Cat'
I'm trying to track down a children's picture book that I read as a child in the 80s. I can't remember the author, or specific title.. but it was something along the line of 'The Fat Cat' or 'The Hungry Cat'. I'm fairly sure it was published by penguin. The story followed the lines of a cat eating many people (including a lady with a parasol). At the end he was chopped open with an axe, and all the people emerged unharmed. The cat wound up with two bandages in the shape of a cross on his stomach. Has anyone any idea of more specific details?

I have never heard of the book but you could try Amazon.co.uk
I found the whole Brian Jaques book series which I could never find in shops there, and half of them were only 1p.
