When I go into IE another blank page opens. It then says navigation to web page cancelled and in the address bar it says res://iefram.dll/navcancl.htm. If I X the page it goes and then I can contine browsing but the blank page keeps appearing and is very annoying. Also if I go into mozilla Firefox the blank IE page appears. Can anyone help please

This looks like it might be some sort of firewall issue, see this:WebBrowser Ctrl in MFC
Try turning your firewall off and seeing if the problem goes away.
