We get so many questions about reunions, and finding birthparents or children lost to adoption, and so many of those questions are about the search process.
Would it be possible to post a sticky at the top of the adoption threads with the ISSR website links?
I found the link through the ISSR website, in a column from "Dear Abby"
Here's what she had to say, in part:
The International Soundex Reunion Registry is a group I have
recommended for many years. They are efficient and honest and operate with
the philosophy that the identity of neither the birth parents nor the
adopted child shall be disclosed unless all parties are agreeable to a
reunion. Birth parents and children can register, and when the children
reach legal age--- if both parties are registered and want to find each
other---- a match is made. Got it here: http://www.plumsite.com/isrr/abby.htm
Anyway, just a thought on it.
