    Puppy name Opinions
Hi I'm getting a blonde labradoodle puppy (as you may know) and we've decided on the names Dakota(because we are getting him from South Dakota) or Diesel (because that is his dad's name. Im wondering about other people's opinions, what do you guuys like more? Diesel Or Dakota?:D

The service dog schools I work with like 2 sylable names. I think Diesel works with most commands, ''Diesel, sit!''

When I was naming my dog, I thought about if I lost him, what would sound the least stupid screaming his name in the middle of the street. Hope that helps.

I like Dakota. My own dogs name has three syllables and tends to get shortened in some situations. This hasn't confused the dog. If you need to do that 'Kota' still sounds good.

Dogs like hard consonants. I vote for Dakota.

Yeah dogs can respond to lots of names. My dog would respond to oi smelly! And bramblebum. :D
