Now it's been 2 times that I've dreamed about my ex
It's not like they are normal dreams where my ex has just appeared. He and I are always the main people. Both times I have woke up with tears overflowing my eyes and my body is all sweaty. This dream (nitemare) I just had was like this. It might not make sense, but it was a dream and it's what I remember. My ex and I were talking and then this girl showed up and he never said he was with her, but she kept smiling at me and acting like "he's all mine" kind of vibe from her. I kept trying to talk to him and she wouldn't let us. She would walk away and call his cell phone, so I went and found her and beat her butt then took her phone and put it in my back pocket. I went and found my ex again and we started talking but every time I asked who she was he wouldn't answer me. He'd leave and go inside and I would follow him and we would be talking and then she would show up again. I had to beat her up like 4 times in this dream. I just wanted to be with my ex and tell him I was sorry for moving away 6 years ago and that I still loved him very much! He never did talk to me, I couldn't hear his voice at all and that made me upset. I cried in my dream and just before I woke up I remember him leaving, and I seen him at a store with my friend and that stupid girl again. That's when I started bawling in my dream and was woken up!
Like I said, this is the 2nd time I've had this dream, not the same girl, but the same situation. He was there to talk to me, I said a lot, but he never spoke back to me. All I did was cry and woke up confused as hell.

BTW: I'm in a relationship and have been since Feb. 2006 - does this have anything to do with these dreams?

Someone please help me understand this.

The subconscious is a funny thing. When you moved away and left your ex, I expect there was a lot going on and you probably didn't have time to deal with it all. As strange as it may sound, I believe you are dreaming of your ex because there is some unfinished business - not necessarily with him but with you and the way it ended. This 'unfinished business' usually rears it's head when you are doing quite well and are able to deal with it. But if you don't know what is going on it can be a bit confusing. If this turns out to be the case and you are happy in this new relationship simply go with the flow on the dreams, keep calm and don't see it for more than it is - a dream.
