I was told you may be able to help. I finished my basement and have to pumps underneath the kitchen sink and bar sink. There is a drain, an inlet and a vent pipe. My problem is with the vent. The guy that finished the basement did not tie the vent for these pumps to the sewage vent. His plan was to put a studor valve on it. The problem is that the water does not drain well. I know why. When it drains, it pressurizes the box. The studor only lets the air in and not out. So this is where I need help. What can be done to have this work right? I can't leave the vent open cause it will stink and also allow the gases to come out. I need help. Thanks in advance.
