    How do I take off the knob to try and tighten it or put a rubber gasket on it?

    The hot water knob on my tub is leaking water badly,when you turn on the water it runs down the side of the tub and down the wall and its causing damage How do I take off the knob to try and tighten it or put a rubber gasket on it?I took the screw out of the knob and tried to take it off but to no avail.Is their any help and (thanks in advance)

    If you took the screw off and you still cannot get the handle off by jiggling gently back and forth thaen you may need to purchase a HANDLE PULLER. These are sold at all home improvement stores today at very reasonable price.. say 15.00 or so. This is a tool that inserts behind the handle as you tighten down on the handle of the tool.

    This works 95% of the time... the other 5% I have actually had to break the handles off, replace the entire cartridge and the handle itself. But that is worst case.
